Saviour and Salvation

by Alexis Marie

we feel so desperate,
that we cry up to the sky
and ask for help from the Invisible God.
Who else will save us?
Everyone else just looks away.

Crying out,
clutching the edge of the cliff;
hands slipping
–fearing the ultimate price.
If I slacken my hold, where will I go?
Will I be an Antlantis drowned in the sea?
Or will I be this paper,
which you’ll toss aside
without even looking at it?
