Eyes Unsight

Sight fragile as glass.
With just one tap of reality
Orbs of perception break.
The mirror shatters,
Shards scatter on the floor.
For the next seven years,
No way to know
who’s the fairest of them all.

Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder!
But the holder’s the man with the scythe,
The killer.
The slayer.

We’re all just Elephant Men!
And that’s what no one understands!
We spend hours masking our deformities
And putting putty
in the cracks of our perfection!

If there’s beauty gained in death, then all of us are ugly yet!
Lenore, now that your light’s been scuffed out, are you beautiful?!

Holding on to blood red roses, place them on the casket’s lid, tears hid behind veils and stone-cast faces,
fall upon the unmarked grave.

The scythe-man has stricken tonight!
Another soul’s been taken away!
Now on the boat, trapped within shackles,
Rowing on the Devil’s Lake.

The priest says no one should fret,
for the soul is in Heaven,
and Heaven is beautiful.
So then why is God casting Heaven away?!

And we’ll all go like lovelorn puppets,
wearing black, the color of revival,
into the arms of the Unseen God,
who is ending all hopes
of a new ressurection!

Who are you,
You blind, fake prophet,
To decide or judge the fallen?

O, servant of Faith,
Compared to Hell,
is Heaven really that beautiful?!

Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder!
The holder’s the man with the scythe,
the killer,
Our Savior.

If there’s beauty gained in death,
then all of us are ugly yet!
Lenore, now that your light’s been scuffed out, are you beautiful?!

We fall as the Grigori,
And we drown as the Nephilim;
If our sins mark our deaths,
Then when will we be beautiful?
